Gulf Edge and Kore.ai to Launch AI Agents in Thailand

Gulf Edge and Kore.ai partner to accelerate AI adoption in Thailand.

Gulf Edge, the digital arm of Thailand’s energy giant Gulf Development, and AI project Kore.ai have announced a partnership. The companies aim to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence in the Thai market, as stated in a press release. 

As part of the collaboration, Gulf Edge will utilize the Kore.ai platform to develop neural network-based solutions tailored to the needs of key sectors in the country, including: 

• telecommunications;
• banking;
• insurance;
• healthcare;
• the public sector. 

The primary goals of the joint developments are to enhance customer experience, optimize operations, and scale the new technology across enterprises. 

“We are laying the foundation for an AI-driven future in Southeast Asia, starting with Thailand. The partnership with Kore.ai combines our infrastructure and expertise with an enterprise platform to accelerate the real-world adoption of artificial intelligence,” said Gulf Development’s head, Sarath Ratanavadi. 

According to company representatives, Thailand is becoming one of the fastest-growing AI markets in the region. Projections suggest that by 2030, the sector will reach $3.5 billion, with an annual growth rate of 28%. 

Key drivers include active corporate adoption and significant investments in AI infrastructure from both the government and the private sector. 

At the end of March, Microsoft announced a $1 billion investment in developing cloud infrastructure and AI-based solutions in Thailand. The company plans to build data centers in the country. 

Back in June 2025, Thai authorities pledged to introduce AI regulations to avoid “lagging behind progress.”
