HIVE Digital Technologies buys 7,000 Antminer S21 miners from Bitmain

HIVE Digital Technologies announced the purchase of 7,000 Antminer S21s from Chinese manufacturer Bitmain. говорится in a press release.

Delivery is expected from January to June 2024. After installation, the facility’s average energy efficiency will be 25 J/TH, and the hash rate will be 5.8 EH/s.

Along with this order, last month HIVE Digital Technologies bought a total of 16,800 ASIC miners. According to the plans, the company intends to expand production to 8 EH/s in 2024.

As of writing, premarket valuations place HIVE shares at $5.16 (+5.1%).

Earlier, HIVE Digital Technologies said that the year-old installations for mining Bitcoin fully paid for themselves, taking into account electricity costs.

In November, the company mined 276.3 BTC and held 1,627 BTC at month-end.
