Huawei Unveils New AI Glasses
Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies has launched an updated version of its AI-powered glasses priced at 2299 yuan ($315).
The Huawei Eyewear 2 Titanium Edition features a sleek titanium frame, weighs 4.7 grams, and offers enhanced “smart” and AI capabilities for various tasks:
- touch controls on the temples for answering and ending calls, managing music, adjusting volume, and activating a voice assistant;
- gesture and head movement controls, allowing users to answer calls with a nod or decline them with a shake of the head;
- real-time translation through artificial intelligence;
- “Neck Health 2.0” feature providing advice and recommendations for cervical spine care;
- weather notifications and schedule reminders.
The glasses can operate for up to 11 hours in music playback mode and up to nine hours in talk mode. A 10-minute charge provides three hours of listening, while a full charge takes about 50 minutes.
The Huawei Eyewear 2 Titanium Edition is rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance, making it suitable for everyday use but not for swimming or showering.
Back in September 2024, Meta introduced an update to its Ray-Ban AI glasses.
Earlier, the corporation’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that hundreds of millions of people will wear AI glasses.
