Injective launches inEVM solution to support Ethereum applications
Developers of the layer-one network Injective in the Cosmos ecosystem have launched a testnet L2 solutions inEVM in partnership with Caldera, a project specializing in customizable rollups.

The new solution is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This will enable decentralized applications built on the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization to operate within the Injective ecosystem.
Unlike other similar EVM solutions such as Aurora based on Near or Neon on Solana, inEVM is a rollup tethered to Injective’s mainnet.
The initiative is part of the Electro Chains strategy aimed at expanding the ecosystem of second-layer solutions and improving interoperability with various blockchains.
The mainnet launch of inEVM is scheduled for the fourth quarter.
In June, Injective developers integrated Polygon to enable “true DeFi composability”.
In April, the project team launched the Cascade interoperability solution, allowing Solana developers to run their applications in the Cosmos ecosystem.
