Japan’s Fujitsu to offer cryptocurrency trading services

Japan’s Fujitsu has filed an application with the USPTO to register a trademark and outlined plans to offer brokerage services for trading digital assets.

The company unveiled a logo featuring the stylised word FUJITSU with a sideways S-shaped swirl above the J and I. The document was filed on March 16.

According to the USPTO filing, Fujitsu intends to offer a range of financial services, including taking deposits, lending, asset management and the exchange of crypto assets.

In February, Fujitsu and Mitsubishi joined with the banking giant Mizuho to create ‘the economic zone of Japan in the metaverse’. The project was named Ryugukoku.
