Justin Sun: Crypto adoption should not be US-centric
Tron founder Justin Sun said that if 7.7 billion people adopt cryptocurrencies as legal tender, then 300 million Americans would follow suit.
As we work towards the adoption of #TRX as legal tender, let’s not be too US-centric. US🇺🇸 regulation is important, but we should focus on the 8 billion people on Earth. The US is just one country, and while it may be a major player in the crypto world, it’s not the only one.

“Regulation in the United States is important, but we should focus on the 8 billion people on Earth. The United States is just one country, and while it may be a major player in the crypto world, it is not the only one,” Sun wrote.
He argues that cryptocurrency legalisation would not only ease the buying and selling of goods and services, but also give the population greater control over their financial future.
“Cryptocurrency could become a powerful instrument for financial inclusion and improving people’s lives in all corners of the world. … Let us work together to create a more inclusive and equitable future for all,” wrote the founder of Tron.
In 2023, Sun aims to have the TRX token recognised as legal tender in at least five countries. In the post he used flag emojis for Dominica and Sint Maarten. His profile also features the flag of Grenada.
My KPI for 2023 is to get 5 countries to adopt #TRX as legal tender. 🇩🇲🇸🇽

In September 2021, the authorities of El Salvador recognised Bitcoin as legal tender. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) criticised the move and recommended stripping Bitcoin of this status.
In April 2022, the Central African Republic recognised the first cryptocurrency as a payment method on a par with the local franc. The IMF stated concerns about Bitcoin’s legalisation.
