The cryptocurrency exchange Kraken became the first official partner from the Web3-segment of Williams Racing in the Formula One World Championship.

Under the agreement, the exchange’s NFT marketplace will allow clients of the trading platform to place non-fungible tokens on the rear wing of the race car.
Kraken’s branding will adorn the team’s livery and cars. In addition, the company will release a limited-edition merchandise line featuring the exchange and Williams Racing logos.
“We are launching our partnership to offer fans cutting-edge cryptocurrency and Web3 technologies, and to enable Kraken to attract new institutional clients and businesses through our network and events,” said Williams Racing’s Commercial Director James Bauer.
Earlier partnerships were signed with Crypto.com, Velas Network, Binance, Bybit and the fallen FTX.
In August 2022, Formula 1 registered two trademarks related to digital assets, metaverses and NFT.
