LAToken accuses ‘disgruntled employee’ of hacking Twitter account

In the LAToken cryptocurrency exchange’s Twitter account, claims appeared that the project is a fraud. Representatives of the platform сообщили that the account was compromised by a disgruntled employee.

The Twitter post says that LAToken promotes fraudulent IEOs, deceives clients and employees:

“Stay away from LAToken. They defrauded hundreds, possibly thousands, of people, leaving them without crypto, or they are simply incompetent.”

The hacker referenced the exchange’s reviews page on the Trust Pilot platform. Meanwhile the platform itself warned about the detection of several fake reviews.

The hacker also called LAToken’s CEO Valentin Preobrazhensky a liar.

In addition, the Twitter account of LAToken’s decentralized exchange LADEX was compromised.

In response to the allegations, the company said that a disgruntled employee was behind the account compromises, and that the platform itself is fully secure. LAToken said it has already contacted Twitter and intends to sue the hacker.

In 2020, attackers hacked the Twitter accounts of Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and many other public figures, posting messages about a fake Bitcoin giveaway.
