Mantle to Distribute 320,000 MNT and 570,000 EIGEN in New Campaigns

The team behind the Layer 2 solution Mantle will distribute 320,000 MNT ($404,000) among participants of the bonus quest of the Yield Lab campaign, as well as 570,000 EIGEN ($2.8 million) to users who have locked MNT tokens as part of the Mantle Rewards Station initiative. This was announced on X and in the project’s blog.

Yield Lab is an activity where participants earn rewards for interacting with DeFi protocols that won in a user vote. The bonus quest allows participants to earn additional MNT by completing tasks from projects that did not make the cut but have become an important part of the Mantle ecosystem.

The event will run until December 24, 2024. The maximum prize pool will be 320,000 MNT. Each protocol will distribute between 2,000 and 20,000 MNT depending on the number of participants.

Currently, users have access to quests from the options trading platform Thetanuts Finance, lending services Timeswap and Minterest, restaking protocols Pell Network and Bedrock, as well as decentralized exchanges TsunamiX and 1delta.

Mantle Rewards Station is an initiative offering rewards for MNT holders. To participate, users must stake tokens for up to 300 days. In return, the platform will credit MNT Power (MP) points, which can be allocated among prize pools. The longer the lock-up period, the more MP a user will receive.

The project will distribute rewards based on the amount of locked MP. Detailed conditions are available in the Mantle Rewards Station announcement.

Mantle is an ecosystem consisting of an EVM-compatible Layer 2 solution, Mantle Network, and a protocol for liquid staking and restaking Ethereum, the mETH Protocol. 

The MNT token is traded on Bybit, KuCoin, Kraken, and other centralized exchanges. At the time of writing, its price stands at $1.26.
