The cryptocurrency company Circle announced a partnership with Maps.me, the startup behind the offline navigation service. Under the agreement, the platform will add support for the USD Coin (USDC) stablecoin.

According to the press release, Maps.me users will be able to use stablecoins for instant payments in more than 35 countries. The service will allow buying and storing USDC, as well as the native MAPS token in the Maps.me wallet.

Earlier the service raised $50 million from Alameda Research, Genesis Trading and CMS Holdings to build a DeFi ecosystem.

In March Circle unveiled a payment solution for trading platforms and NFT providers, and previously simplified conversion of USDC into US dollars.

The total market capitalization of stablecoins has surpassed $100 billion. USDC, valued at more than $21 billion, ranked second behind Tether (USDT).
