MicroBT opens service centre for ASIC miners in Kazakhstan

Chinese miner manufacturer MicroBT has opened a service centre for CIS residents at Enegix’s largest data centre in Kazakhstan, in the city of Ekibastuz.

The parties to the agreement note that warranty servicing within the Eurasian Customs Union will minimise logistics and customs charges, and the location of the new centre will simplify the delivery of equipment from Russia and Kazakhstan.

“MicroBT has established itself as a global leader in the production of ASIC miners. We view this collaboration as an important strategic step on the path to delivering integrated hardware solutions,” said co-founder and CEO of Enegix, Yerbolsyn Sarsenov.

In September, Enegix opened in Kazakhstan one of the world’s largest data centres with a capacity of 180 megawatts.

The land for the construction was provided by local authorities, and over $24 million was invested in the infrastructure. The data centre can accommodate up to 50,000 mining devices.
