Apple opened a vacancy for a business development manager with five years of experience in the cryptocurrency industry, who will head the partnerships program in the ‘alternative payments’ segment.
According to the job listing, the candidate is expected to have experience working with providers of alternative payment solutions, such as digital wallets, BNPL, fast payments, and cryptocurrencies.
In addition, the role requires more than ten years of overall experience, of which more than six are in business.
The position is full-time, based at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.
In late April, REvil hackers attacked one of Apple’s main suppliers and demanded $50 million in ransom. Taiwanese computer maker Quanta Computer refused to pay for the decryption key.
A recent study showed that Apple has acquired the most AI startups in the past four years.
