Arthur Hayes says Bitcoin is the currency of artificial intelligence

Former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes предположил that bitcoin could become the ideal currency for artificial intelligence (AI) systems.

In his view, digital gold is better suited for this than other assets. He singled out its characteristics:

• decentralisation;
• resistance to censorship;
• provable scarcity;
• intrinsic value depends on energy costs;

“There is nothing today that could compare with Bitcoin on these parameters,” Hayes wrote.

He believes that in the future investors may overvalue the leading cryptocurrency due to the ‘adoption’ of it by artificial intelligence.

Hayes said this would occur as a result of a desire to ‘avoid inflation in the fiat financial system’ and to ‘seize a portion of the next phase of the evolution of humans and computers.’

The former BitMEX CEO added that by 2025-2026 the AI economy would account for up to 50% of global GDP, with Bitcoin reaching $760,000.

Back on December 12, 2022, Hayes said that the leading cryptocurrency had bottomed, and five months later forecasted its new rally by 2024.
