Bitcoin miners’ revenue reaches $1 million per hour

Bitcoin miners’ revenue after the May halving rose by 185% to the current $1 million per hour, according to Glassnode. The last time revenues were this high was in the summer of 2019, when the block reward was 12.5 BTC.

A week earlier, company analysts noted subdued miner selling activity. The seven-day moving average of the indicator Miner Outflow Multiple remains well below historical highs.

The hash rate of the network of the leading cryptocurrency over the past 24 hours averaged 142.85 EH/s, according to BitInfoCharts. According to 8btc, new Bitcoin records have made mining profitable even on older devices such as the Antminer S9. The latter had been losing competitiveness after the March crash and the third halving.

The average transaction fee stands at $7.50. On December 18 the indicator reached $12.25 amid a congested mempool.
