Bitcoin network fees jump 752% in a month; Ethereum fees rise 280%

Over the month, the average transaction fee in the Bitcoin network jumped 752% — from $0.68 to $5.80.

According to данным blockchain explorer bitinfocharts.com, the maximum fee in the Bitcoin network occurred in December 2017 — $55.

Ethereum’s network fees as of July 28 выросла by 280% compared with data from the previous month — from $0.50 to $1.90.

Analysts previously linked the rise in Ethereum’s transaction volume to the emergence of \”protective properties\” of stablecoins after the March market crash and the growing popularity of the DeFi sector.

In line with the rise in fees, Ethereum miners’ revenues rose by 60% — to $3.4 per 100 MH/s.

In early July, Bitcoin and Ethereum accounted for more than 99% of the fees earned by all miners.
