Bitcoin scammer duped Russian woman out of 200,000 rubles

A 42-year-old resident of the Kemerovo region fell victim to a fraudster who offered her to invest in cryptocurrencies. This was reported by the local police.

The victim saw an advertisement about extra income on one of the sites and left contact details. An unknown woman who introduced herself as the head of an investment fund contacted her.

\n

Following the interlocutor’s instructions, the Russian woman transferred her savings to several accounts. The next day the ‘InvestFund’ site turned out to be blocked.

\n

Police are establishing the identity of the suspect. She faces up to five years’ imprisonment for fraud.

\n

In May, cryptocurrency scammers stole 3 million rubles from a Russian woman.
