BitMEX resumes trading after brief outage

On 13 March, the cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX announced a halt to trading due to an identified issue. As of writing, the system is operating normally, the site says on the site.

Data: BitMEX.

“We are continuing to monitor this issue and remind users that all funds are safe,” the team said.

Representatives did not specify the cause of the outage.

In December 2022, BitMEX introduced the Proof-of-Liability feature. With it, users can verify the platform’s liabilities to them in the overall balance.

Earlier the exchange launched a platform for spot trading of cryptocurrencies. In July, amid the bear market, the companydelayed the planned listing of a utility token.

Back in late 2022, the former BitMEX chief Alexander Heptner, who had left the post, filed a lawsuit against the operator of the crypto-derivatives exchange for $3.4 million. The specialist accused the company of wrongful termination and breach of the employment contract.
