CryptoQuant CEO: Most Altcoins Will Not Survive

Ki Young Ju, the founder and CEO of CryptoQuant, has stated that this year’s altcoin season will be “selective.” According to him, only projects with strong fundamentals and a sustainable business model are likely to outperform the market as a whole.

“Most altcoins will not survive the 2025 market cycle,” believes the CEO of CryptoQuant.

He emphasized that cryptocurrencies with the potential to attract institutional investors through ETFs have a better chance of success. The expert added that the “era of pumping” is over.

Ju’s forecast comes as the price of Bitcoin momentarily dropped to $88,200, while the Fear and Greed Index plummeted to 25 points.

“The recent correction with significant liquidations (especially in assets like Solana) and the drop in total market capitalization to $3.13 trillion indicates a possible capitulation,” said a senior analyst at IntoTheBlock in an interview with Cointelegraph.

Meanwhile, Redstone’s COO Marcin Kazmerchak noted that some altcoins have shown price recovery despite low user activity. This suggests an early stage of the cycle, the expert believes. According to him, sustainable market growth will occur later, with an increase in the user base.

Earlier, CryptoQuant highlighted the risk of Bitcoin entering a bearish phase due to a decline in investors’ risk appetite.
