CZ Meets Kazakhstan's President and Announces KZTx Stablecoin

The founder of Binance, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), visited Kazakhstan and held talks with the head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, reports the president’s press service.

The meeting took place on October 2 as part of the Digital Bridge 2025 forum. Key topics included the development of the crypto industry, licensing of Binance, and the inclusion of BNB in state reserves.

During the event, the launch of a new stablecoin, KZTx, was also announced, though details were not disclosed. In September, Kazakhstan had already announced Evo, a “stable coin” on the Solana blockchain.

In a post on platform X, Zhao noted significant changes in the country over the past three years.

BNB in Reserves

The Alem Crypto Fund, created by the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has added the BNB token to its portfolio as a long-term investment.

Following the news, the coin’s market capitalization significantly increased, and its price reached a new high. The Binance founder expressed satisfaction with the partnership, while Tokayev acknowledged his personal contribution to the development of fintech in the country.

“Changpeng Zhao has played an important role in the development of the crypto industry worldwide and fintech in Kazakhstan. Our initiatives, including the regional crypto hub, accelerate the digitalization of the economy,” said the president.

Back in September, CZ acknowledged Binance’s involvement in launching the decentralized platform Aster.
