deVere Group: 82% of millionaires show interest in Bitcoin

82% of clients with AUM from £1m to £5m ($1.23-6.15m) in the past 12 months sought consultations from their financial advisers about investing in cryptocurrencies. The data, reported by the financial services provider deVere Group.

“Despite the crypto winter, HNW were interested in including digital assets in portfolios. This predominantly conservative group was not deterred by the bear market and adverse market conditions. Wealthy investors realise that digital currencies — this is the future of money,” — commented Nigel Green, CEO and founder of deVere Group.

Respondents cited a surge of interest in cryptocurrencies from Wall Street participants. JPMorgan, BNY-Mellon, Fidelity, BlackRock have added digital assets to their product lines.

Nigel Green predicted that the ice of the crypto winter would continue to thaw, and institutional interest would grow.

“Bitcoin posted its best January since 2013 thanks to hopes that inflation has peaked, monetary policy has become more accommodative, and various crises in the crypto sector, including high-profile bankruptcies, are now behind us. Since the start of the year, the first cryptocurrency has risen by around 40%, and this will not go unnoticed by HNW individuals and others looking to build wealth,” — he explained.

According to a recent survey, more than 88% of Binance plan to continue investing in digital assets.

Earlier, analysts at Glassnode noted that the first cryptocurrency has recovered from the consequences of the FTX collapse.
