Doubts Arise Over the Death of Zerebro Developer
The community has cast doubt on the death of Zerebro developer Jeffy Yu following reports of suspicious transactions and the removal of his obituary.

Earlier reports claimed he committed suicide during a stream on Pump.fun on May 4, where he was promoting the meme coin Legacoin (LLJEFFY).
Viewers of the broadcast noted inconsistencies: the flash from the “shot” did not match the movement of the gun, and the sound was added afterwards.
Zerebro dev even faked his own death
The video is 99.999% fake/edited
The „gunshot“ frame is just the video with increased brightness + added gunshot sound

Hours before the incident, Yu published a manifesto about Legacoins — tokens he pledged never to sell.
A letter allegedly sent to an investor in Yu’s name is circulating online. In it, the developer calls the staged suicide the “only way” to stop harassment and threats due to his public status. He promised to leave the crypto industry and focus on music.
Yu’s obituary on Legacy.com, where he was described as a “Stanford prodigy” who created the $800 million Zerebro ecosystem, was later removed.
Incredible turnaround!
Legacy. com, which posted Jeffy Yu’s ($Zerebro dev) obituary, has just removed it.

According to Bubblemaps, Yu’s wallet sold $100,000 worth of ZEREBRO tokens and transferred the funds to the creator of LLJEFFY.

Legacoin’s market capitalization fell by 80% to $5 million, according to DEX Screener.
Back in January, the mother of deceased former OpenAI employee Suchir Balaji questioned his suicide. Purnima Ramarao believed her son was not prone to suicide.
