Ethena Partners with Telegram Ecosystem

Ethena Labs and TON Foundation have announced plans to integrate the USDe and sUSDe stablecoins into the Telegram ecosystem.

The partnership involves integrating products with non-custodial wallets such as TON Space and Tonkeeper, the custodial Wallet in Telegram, and DeFi applications within the ecosystem. The project aims to advance solutions in trading, savings, and lending.

sUSDe will take the form of the TON-native tsUSDe, providing users with direct access to the asset via Telegram.

Holders of tsUSDe in non-custodial wallets will receive an additional 10% APY with weekly payouts in TON, in addition to the rewards provided for sUSDe, up to 10,000 bonus coins per address.

Users will also have the opportunity to stake USDT through the USDT Earn vault while simultaneously earning Ethena rewards.

“Only Alibaba and Tencent’s ‘digital money market funds’ had combined deposits of $265 billion from 850 million users at their peak. Our integration into TON provides a similar user experience with the added benefit of a superior sUSDe APY profile compared to risk-free rates,” noted Ethena Labs.

The planned integrations are set to roll out throughout May. Developers will provide additional notifications regarding specific deployment phases.

Back in April, TON President Manuel Stotz discussed Telegram’s path to becoming a “Web3 super app,” particularly through the integration of payment solutions.
