Farcaster Integrates Solana Address Verification

The decentralized social platform Farcaster has integrated support for Solana, enabling users to verify addresses on the blockchain.

“Verifications are part of the protocol, meaning they are decentralized and available without additional permissions on Hubs,” wrote Farcaster founder Dan Romero.

The team behind the widely used Solana ecosystem wallet Phantom confirmed integration with the Warpcast social network client for address linking.

Launched in 2023, the Web3 platform saw a sharp rise in popularity in January with the introduction of Frames functionality. This mechanism allows developers to embed various interactive features directly into Farcaster messages, known as Casts.

The new options enable the use of most protocol features without the need to sign transactions or follow external links.

For instance, users can mint NFTs, play games, and perform instant verifications directly from the social feed without leaving the platform.

Earlier in February, the Solana blockchain experienced an outage lasting several hours. Experts analyzed the network’s periodic disruptions and identified the inability to handle the growing volume of transactions as the cause.
