FTX signs five-year deal with Major League Baseball

The cryptocurrency exchange FTX signed a five-year contract with Major League Baseball (MLB).

The FTX.US logo will appear on MLB umpires’ uniforms, starting with the All-Star Game on July 13, 2021. The trading platform also gained rights to promotions on social media and other MLB channels.

“Every day, FTX strives to have a positive global impact, and we have no better partner to achieve this goal than MLB, with its international fan base,” said FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried.

Earlier the exchange announced a multi-year deal to rename the esports team TSM to TSM FTX.

In March, the Bitcoin exchange obtained naming rights to the NBA’s Miami Heat arena, was renamed to FTX Arena through 2040.
