Group of programmers proposes revival plan for Terra Classic

A team of six engineers Terra Allies 6/6 представила план возрождения экосистемы Terra Classic.

The original network, created by Terraform Labs. It continued to exist as an independent blockchain after the collapse of the project in May 2022 and the launch of Terra 2.0. As of writing, the capitalisation of the Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) token stands at about $532 million (CoinGecko).

A group of engineers calling themselves the “Six Samurai,” proposed to the community that they be allocated $116 000 for the third quarter of the year. For this sum, the programmers under the leadership of the “Bilbo Baggins” and the “Solid Snake” are ready to continue work on the project. They describe themselves as industry veterans, holders of LUNC and members of the community, “committed to revival and decentralisation of the blockchain.”

“LUNC has unlimited growth potential, and we want to help realise it, using our skills to benefit the blockchain and all its investors, achieve true success and the revival of the ecosystem,” the proposal states.

The roadmap presented by the group envisages a series of technical updates, such as shortening node synchronization times, launching a testnet for the stablecoin USTC, and a solution for staking interoperability.

The “Six Samurai” intend, should their proposal be approved by the community, to coordinate work with any other groups granted a mandate to revive elements of the project\’s ecosystem. This includes the recently formed USTC team. It is implementing the stablecoin model proposed in April by community member RedlineDrifter.

Earlier, co-founder and CEO Do Kwon of Terraform Labs was found guilty in Montenegro of document forgery while attempting to depart the country. He also faces prison terms in South Korea and the United States.
