Hackers again move bitcoins stolen from Bitfinex
A portion of the bitcoins stolen from the Bitfinex exchange in 2016 has moved again. This time, according to Whale Alert, 473.3183 BTC (~$5.84 million) were transferred in two transactions to an unknown wallet.
The hackers have so far ignored Bitfinex’s appeal, which had previously offered $400 million for the return of the stolen coins.

In early August, Bitfinex representatives announced their readiness to allocate 5% of the stolen amount to those who help contact those involved in the breach. The exchange is prepared to give the hackers 25% for the return of the stolen funds.
According to Bitfinex, excluding the funds it was prepared to pay as a reward, the amount of damage at the time stood at $1.344 billion. 30% of the reward (5% to informants and 25% to hackers) was estimated at just over $403 million.
Recall that on August 3, in another series of transactions, the attackers transferred 4571 BTC, also stolen from Bitfinex.
The Bitfinex hack occurred on August 2, 2016. In total, the attackers stole 119,756 BTC ($71.8 million at the rate at the time). As of writing, this sum totals more than $1.4 billion.
