The game developer and publisher Konami Digital Entertainmentopened vacancies specialized in non-fungible tokens, Web3 and metaverses.
The company needs “talents for building systems” and “developing services”, with competencies in systems engineering, programming, project management and business development.
The initiative aims to “launch a service where players can trade their in-game NFTs on a unique blockchain platform”. The latter aligns with “recommendations for DLT-based games” issued by the Association of Computer Entertainment Suppliers, the Japanese Association of Online Games and the Mobile Content Forum, according to the press release.
In January 2022, the French gaming giant Ubisoft faced a negative user reaction to launching the NFT platform Quartz.
Later, PlatinumGames said that they do not see any benefits in non-fungible tokens for gamers and developers.
In September, Zilliqa’s developers announced the creation of a gaming console and a hub that will broaden the audience for Web3 games.
