Opinion: Ethereum to Rise Thanks to Institutional Investors

Ethereum is ready for further growth. This is evidenced by interest from institutional clients of custodian Northern Trust, said Dan Tapiero, founder of DTAP Capital, in the Breakdown episode.

In partnership with Standard Chartered Bank, they will launch the Zodia Custody cryptocurrency custody service in the United Kingdom.

“If Northern Trust stores Bitcoin and Ethereum, that means they have buyers for both assets,” Tapiero said.

He also added that the growth in cryptocurrency popularity is mirrored by the volume of fiscal stimulus measures, which, in his estimation, has already reached $30 trillion.

“We can’t even imagine the consequences,” the investor concluded.

The price of Ethereum surpassed $1300 on January 10.

Earlier, Messari analysts predicted a rise in institutional investor interest in Ethereum.
