Polygon Labs releases toolkit for Ethereum Layer-2 networks
Polygon Labs has created a software development kit for building and launching Ethereum Layer-2 networks based on zero-knowledge proofs.

According to the description, Polygon CDK is a modular, open-source base. The solution allows any developer to launch their own Layer-2 network, which will be connected to other chains via a common ZK bridge.
Polygon Labs positioned the solution as an evolution of the Supernets platform, which allows projects to use app-chain protocols akin to a sidechain.
“All blockchains deployed using Polygon CDK are compatible, have automatic access to unified liquidity across all Polygon chains, and one-click access to assets on Ethereum,” the developers said.
Networks launched with Supernets can also be converted into Layer-2 protocols on ZK Polygon technology.
Earlier in June, the Polygon Labs team revealed the proposed architecture for the next iteration of the network, named Polygon 2.0. The update concept, described as the goal of turning the blockchain into a “value layer” for the internet.
