Revolut to Launch Cryptocurrency Exchange
Fintech company Revolut is testing a beta version of a cryptocurrency exchange aimed at experienced traders, according to CoinDesk, citing an email to a UK customer.
The publication reports that the trading platform will offer more in-depth market analytics and lower fees than the digital bank’s app. Specific timelines for testing and the project’s launch have not been disclosed.
“We are launching a new cryptocurrency exchange designed for advanced traders. You can expect more in-depth analytical tools and lower fees,” the email reportedly stated, inviting the user to test the new platform.
According to CoinDesk, the document also mentioned fees ranging from 0% to 0.09% and the ability to trade using limit and market orders.
Revolut confirmed the information upon request from ForkLog.
“We are constantly developing new products and features based on customer demand and market requests. A separate cryptocurrency exchange is one of our future developments, but more information will be available only after the product launch. It is currently available by invitation only,” the company stated.
Since January 3, the fintech company has banned the purchase of digital assets for business clients in the UK due to new FCA requirements.
Earlier in the first quarter of 2024, former employees of Revolut, Coinbase, and Spotify will launch the Zeal cryptocurrency wallet.
