ScienceMagic.Studios, a consultancy on Web 3.0 adoption, has raised $10.3m in pre-seed funding, according to a пресс-релизе.
The round included Coinbase Ventures, Digital Currency Group, and billionaire Alan Howard.
ScienceMagic.Studios specializes in the use of NFTs and social tokens to boost audience engagement. The company is led by former Guardian Media Group chief executive David Pemsel, and is also backed by macro investor Raoul Pal and Delphi Digital.
“Brands continue to dive into the Web 3.0 hype,” said a senior executive.
Earlier, Mascotte Holdings filed 17 trademark applications for the YEEZUS brand. Among the envisaged use cases are NFTs and the metaverse.
In May, Prada announced the launch of its Timecapsule NFT collection.
