
NFL star Rob Gronkowski to release NFT collection
NFL star Rob Gronkowski will release his own collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This is reported by CNBC.
Dedicated to four Super Bowls and major milestones in Gronkowski’s career, the collection will consist of five digital trading cards designed by the studio Black Madre.
The auction will begin on March 11 on the NFT marketplace OpenSea and run through March 13. The tokens can be purchased with Ethereum.
Earlier, ForkLog reported that monthly turnover of NFT marketplaces approached $500 million.
Earlier, NFT copy of Banksy’s burned painting was purchased for 228 ETH (~$400,000).
In late February, Beeple’s NFT token featuring Trump was resold for $6.6 million. In December 2020, the artist earned $582,000 for ‘Crossroad’. Before that, Beeple’s Everydays: The First 5000 Days was first offered for sale as an NFT at Christie’s.
