The Japanese automaker Nissan registered four trademarks in the United States related to Web3.

The application reveals the company’s plans to create virtual clothing and cars, NFT marketplace, as well as metaverse. The document relates to the Infiniti, Nismo and Nissan brands.
The automaker intends to release “non-downloadable software for use as a digital wallet”.
On March 8, the company’s Japanese unit объявило the start of a three-month “demonstration experiment” of the Nissan Hype Lab virtual store. The initiative is intended to explore the assortment, consultations, test drives and car purchases.
Earlier, trademarks in the NFT and metaverse space were registered by Mascotte Holdings, Meta, Crocs, Walmart and Formula 1, entities associated with the rapper Kanye West.
The New York Stock Exchange also filed an application mentioning an NFT marketplace and virtual goods.
As reported in December 2022, the asset-management firm Fidelity Investments filed three similar filings related to the metaverse, NFT, digital real estate and crypto trading.
