Oases puts Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss NFT painting up for sale
The NFT marketplace Oases, in collaboration with Vienna’s Belvedere Gallery, has put Gustav Klimt’s “The Kiss” NFT up for sale. ForkLog was told this by company representatives.
In February 2022, the Belvedere Gallery and the investment fund artèQ launched the project The Kiss NFT. Under it, the museum divided the digital copy of the painting The Kiss into 10,000 unique fragments and put them on sale as NFTs.
In the first day of the token sale, users купили 1,730 NFTs for over €3.2 million. The remaining tokens can be purchased on the Oases platform for Ethereum (ETH).
“Klimt created a universal allegorical statement about love as the central theme of human existence. Austria acquired the painting for the Belvedere in 1908, and it has since remained within the walls of the museum. Today “The Kiss” is regarded as an icon of Viennese Modernism and European Modernism. It is one of the most famous works of art in the world,” — said representatives of Oases.
Oases — this is a platform for issuing and trading NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. The marketplace features well-known NFT collections like Bored Ape Yacht Club or CryptoPunks, as well as curated works by emerging artists selected by the platform’s team.
Fox announced the date of the premiere of the NFT series “Krapopolis” by Dan Harmon, the creator of “Rick and Morty.”
