The OKEx cryptocurrency exchange has implemented the Lightning Network second-layer solution (LN) to speed up transactions and reduce fees when executing them.

“OKEx users can now use the Lightning Network for deposits and withdrawals of BTC,” the company says.
As of writing, the LN network hosts 19,307 nodes and 42,164 payment channels.

Other well-known exchanges also integrate OKCoin and Kraken. In December 2019, Bitfinex added Lightning Network support, and in September 2020 expanded the capabilities of the Wumbo payment-channel solution.
