Over 1 Million ETH Deposited into Ethereum 2.0 Deposit Contract

Users have deposited over 1 million ETH into the Ethereum 2.0 deposit contract.

At the time of writing, the balance of the corresponding address stood at 1,000,130 ETH, equivalent to about $603 million at current rates.

The deposit contract allows sending ETH from the existing network to ETH2, validating the authority of stakers.

In the ecosystem of the new Ethereum version, there are over 23,000 active validators, with a participation rate of 97.59%, according to Eth2 Rewards Bot.

According to Staking Rewards, the current annual yield from ETH2 staking is around 16.5%.

As planned, the launch of Phase Zero of Ethereum 2.0 took place on December 1.
