“After almost two years of development and a successful audit by Sigma Prime, we are finally releasing Reth 1.0, the first production-ready version of our blazing-fast Ethereum client. We invite RPC providers and stakeholders to launch Reth,” wrote Paradigm CTO Georgios Konstantopoulos.
According to the statement, the software synchronizes a full archival node storage of approximately 2.25 TB in about 50 hours, providing “excellent RPC throughput and low transaction latency.”
Paradigm recommends deploying the client on servers with NVMe SSDs, and when using cloud services like AWS, ensuring the channel provides at least 16,000 IOPS.
However, developers noted that the first release of Reth focuses on software stability rather than performance. They emphasized that efficiency metrics meet current standards and will improve in the future.
According to Ethernodes, the execution client segment is dominated by Geth and Nethermind, with shares of 47.96% and 34% respectively.

Earlier, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin identified the cost of launching a full node as one of the threats to network decentralization.
