
Parcel of land near Snoop Dogg in The Sandbox sold for $458,038
A parcel of virtual land adjacent to the American rapper Snoop Dogg in The Sandbox project was sold for 70,903 SAND ($458,038 at the time of the deal).

The deal took place on the NFT marketplace OpenSea. The token is named Wave 1 — 3×3 Estate S [12,-75].
In early December, The Sandbox put up for sale 122 standard and 67 premium parcels of virtual land adjacent to Snoop Dogg for a total of 437 103 SAND (about $2.16 million at the time of writing).
Two more exclusive parcels were sold at auction for 67 142 SAND ($433 737) and 55 125 SAND ($356 107).
Earlier The Sandbox raised $93 million in a funding round led by Vision Fund 2 from SoftBank.
In mid-November, the gaming platform announced a partial launch of its metaverse for a limited number of users. Against this backdrop, the SAND token hit an all-time high of $3.63.
Back in September, Snoop Dogg admitted that he is behind the Cozomo de’ Medici account with an NFT collection worth $17.7 million. Later he bought a non-fungible token from digital artist XCOPY for 1,300 ETH.
