
Polygon Surpasses Ethereum in Active Addresses
On October 2, the number of active addresses in the network of secure L2-solutions Polygon for the first time surpassed the corresponding figure for Ethereum — 566,516 vs 527,158.
Over the last 30 days, the former rose by 168%, the latter by 0.6%.


Analyst known by the nickname RaphaelSignal назвал explosive growth of the NFT trader audience on Polygon. According to his calculations, on the popular marketplace OpenSea since July their number has risen 45.5-fold, and the number of tokens sold 17.5-fold.
As another factor, he cited growth in GameFi. The analyst cited data for the game project Arc8 — daily active users reached about 104,000.
Over the last 30 days Polygon also surpassed Binance Smart Chain in transaction volume.
The native token of the MATIC project sits at 22nd in the CoinGecko ranking. For the previous seven days it rose by 12.4%, showing eighth place in the top 30.
In September, the digital asset manager Osprey Funds launched a MATIC-based trust.
In the same month, audit firm Ernst & Young added support for the Polygon protocol and framework when developing its own Ethereum-based solutions.
