During the Orange Pill podcast on Sunday, November 22, the musician said that in the crisis year of 2020 Bitcoin opened up new opportunities for people.
“In the ocean of destruction that characterised this year, Bitcoin fills me with optimism about the future of humanity,” said Sean Lennon.
The advantage of Bitcoin is that it “goes beyond the physical world”.
“Gold can be stolen, and with Bitcoin you have full freedom of will and full self-sovereignty. As long as you remember your seed phrase – you’re fine,” added the musician.
Sean Lennon has followed in his father’s footsteps and is known for performances with the groups Cibo Matto, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger and Claypool Lennon Delirium.
Since the start of the year, the price correlation between gold and Bitcoin has strengthened noticeably. The indicator has reached its highest level in five years.
Evidence of demand for Bitcoin and financial products based on it was seen in open interest in Bitcoin futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the growing popularity of BTC-based options.
