Solana’s Saga 2 Smartphone Garners 60,000 Pre-Orders

Less than three weeks after its announcement, users have placed 60,000 pre-orders for the Saga Chapter 2 Web3 smartphone from Solana Mobile, according to The Block.

The Solana Mobile website features a leaderboard of those who have sent the most referral links. 1,500 active participants will receive a non-transferable Element NFT, along with various other bonuses from different teams within the Solana ecosystem, including Mad Lads, Jupiter, Tensor, and Backpack.

The first snapshot of the leaderboard will be taken on February 6 at 14:00 ET (21:00 Kyiv/22:00 MSK). After each snapshot, all wallets with pre-orders will receive a corresponding token.

Developers describe Chapter 2 as the successor to the first Saga version, introduced in June 2022. While the specifications of the new model have not yet been disclosed, the team has stated its goal to significantly “optimize Web3 functionality for smartphones.”

The pre-order price for the device is $450, with an estimated shipping date set for 2025.
