
Solo Miner Earns $330,386 for Bitcoin Block Discovery
On June 5, a solo miner successfully mined block #899,826 on the Bitcoin network, earning a reward of 3.151 BTC ($330,386).

The participant used the CKpool platform. According to mempool.space, the block contained 3,680 transactions. The average transaction fee was approximately $0.29, with a median rate of about 2 sat/vB.
CKPool administrator Con Kolivas speculated that the miner used rented hash power.

According to him, shortly before the block was mined, the participant’s rate surged to 259 PH/s. Kolivas noted that only one worker was connected to the pool. Typically, this account showed a significantly lower hash rate.
He also highlighted that this was the 300th block mined by a solo miner through CKpool.
As of June 5, the total computational power of the network stood at 796 EH/s. Under such conditions, the chance of success for an individual miner was 0.03%, or approximately 1 in 3,050.
Back in March, a solo miner mined block #887,212 and earned ~$250,000. This was achieved using a $299 device.
On May 31, Bitcoin mining difficulty reached an all-time high of 126.98 T.
