Spotify invites Web3 developers to join the team

The music streaming service Spotify posted a vacancy for a senior backend developer in the growth-acceleration team using new technologies, such as Web 3.0.

The company aims to forge new ways to deepen its connection with a younger audience.

Candidates should have experience conducting research and building prototypes of new products.

Spotify also posted a vacancy for a senior manager of innovation and market analysis. The role calls for “good knowledge of new trends,” particularly in Web 3.0.

As noted, the QQ Music service, owned by Spotify and Tencent, announced the launch of a blockchain platform for NFTs in July 2021.

Earlier, investment bank Saxo Bank, in its “shocking predictions” for 2022, did not rule out the collapse of Spotify and Apple Music due to the development of NFT-based platforms.

Previously, YouTube, the video-hosting service, posted the vacancy for a Web 3.0 product management director.
