
Telegram outage disrupts service
There was a Telegram outage around 16:00 MSK on December 16.
Most issues were reported by users in Europe, the Middle East, and western and central Russia.

Ninety-one per cent report being unable to connect to Telegram; eight per cent cannot send messages.
DownDetector recorded the first access issues as early as 5:21 MSK.
Technical teams are already conducting restoration work:

Also users are reporting issues with WhatsApp and the YouTube video platform.
Update: Telegram work was restored at 17:33 MSK.

Earlier on December 14, there was a widespread outage in Google’s services due to storage problems.
