Thousands of Ethereum and Solana token clones appear on World

Thousands of token clones from popular blockchains such as Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain have appeared on the Worldcoin network. Whats going on in Worldcoin network?

ForkLog found that since 26 September the address 0x12…8c2B has been creating tokens on World Chain and adding liquidity on decentralised exchanges against WLD. Each operation is executed in a single transaction and leaves no liquidity in the pools. Everything is done automatically in one transaction.

On 25 September Worldcoin announced the integration of Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for cross-chain WLD transfers using the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard. Users can seamlessly transfer the token between World Chain and Ethereum.

Alongside this, Sam Altman’s project network implemented Chainlink Data Streams — Chainlink’s data standard that allows World developers to build secure DeFi markets within the World ecosystem.

“CCIP provides access to global markets, increases asset utility and liquidity, and relies on proven security, enabling developers to build secure applications that can transfer tokens, send messages and initiate actions across blockchains,” the announcement said.

It is emphasised that CCT allows developers “to integrate new and existing tokens via CCIP automatically in just a few minutes”. The creation of many tokens on the World network is likely the result of this feature.

“[…] Worldcoin uses Chainlink Data Streams to support secure markets around WLD and enhance its liquidity. Ultimately, by using Chainlink’s interoperability and data standards, we can unlock the potential of secure cross-chain development and rapidly scale our network worldwide,” said Stephen Smith, vice-president of engineering, protocols and applied research at Tools for Humanity (involved in the development of Worldcoin).

The token launches may be another step towards expanding the World ecosystem and linking identity on the blockchain with crypto payments. In March the project launched the World Chat messaging app with the ability to send cryptocurrency. It runs on the World Network.

The built-in World App wallet allows users to send and receive cryptocurrency “as easily as sharing photos”. The service is available after identification through the Orb. At the time of the announcement the solution had about 24 million users, more than 11 million of whom had verified their identity.

Developers can embed World Chat in their applications, “expanding interaction capabilities”.

After adding a user identification system to ChatGPT to comply with age restrictions, a large-scale update to the World ecosystem could bring closer a likely co-integration of Altman’s two projects.

In September 2024, World began testing facial recognition technology for World App. The tool is designed to enhance user security during “online purchases, financial transactions and authorisations in applications”.

In May 2025, the blockchain project announced the launch of 7,500 “orbs” in various U.S. cities so that “180 million Americans could use the tool”.

In addition to geographic expansion, Altman and the Tools for Humanity team unveiled a series of new features and announced partnerships. Among them:

Tools for Humanity unveiled a mobile device, “designed to help people tell the difference between a human and an AI agent”.

The gadget looks like a smartphone and has two large sensors on the front panel for scanning the iris. As with the standard “orbs”, after the procedure the user receives a unique identifier on the blockchain.

In August 2024, MIMOS Berhad signed a memorandum of understanding with the Worldcoin Foundation, Tools for Humanity and e-government services provider MyEG. The aim is to integrate the Worldcoin protocol and TFH technologies into Malaysia’s digital infrastructure.
