Tinder Introduces AI-Powered Flirting Skills Trainer

The popular dating app Tinder has launched an AI-based game designed to hone flirting skills.

The Game Game is an interactive AI chatbot designed to test and refine dating skills.

The game features a deck of cards, each depicting different AI personalities and scenarios. The objective is to secure a date with the bot through voice interaction.

During the dialogue, the AI offers advice. For instance, if a user is rude or inappropriate, the AI may suggest toning down the sarcasm or shifting topics. At the end, a score is given on a three-point scale.

To activate the tool, users need to click on the Tinder logo in the top left corner. Currently, it is available to iOS users in the United States.

The company collaborated with OpenAI to develop The Game Game. It operates on GPT-4o, GPT-4o mini, and the Moderation API. Participants’ data is not used for training AI models.

Back in May 2024, OpenAI announced a “more human-like” version of ChatGPT — GPT-4o.
