Attendees of the May gala dinner hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump for holders of his meme coin received limited edition non-fungible tokens (NFTs). One of the rarest was sold for approximately $16,000.
The NFTs were distributed to participants about two weeks after the dinner. They were allocated not only to the 220 guests of the event but also to those who registered for the gala but did not make the final guest list.
Three NFT collections were released in total, with distribution based on the recipient’s status. The rarest, called Diamond Hands, was given to 118 holders. A card from this collection was sold for 99.9 SOL (approximately $16,000 at the time of the transaction).
Tokens from the Power to the Holders collection were sent to 1,049 addresses, likely belonging to registered participants who may not have attended the dinner.
The Gold Gala Dinner NFTs were received by 219 individuals who attended the event in person.
According to the official X-account of TRUMP, these NFTs do not have practical utility.
