Trust Wallet team suspends USDT withdrawals on the TRON network

On February 6, the developers of the cryptocurrency wallet Trust Wallet reported problems withdrawing USDT on the TRON network. The app displayed a corresponding banner.

On February 2, the TRON team proposed revising the fee calculation model. It envisages introducing a mechanism for dynamic regulation of energy consumption in contracts, including to combat ‘low-value or fraudulent transactions’.

The initiative was approved by a majority of votes (22 in favour, 5 abstained).

At the time of writing, the Trust Wallet team had not commented on the outage. Many users complained about the withdrawal issue for TRC-20 USDT in a tweet posted on February 4.

In December 2022, the Trust Wallet team added to the wallet cross-chain swap support thanks to the THORChain protocol integration.

Earlier in the community proposed using Trust Wallet and Rainbow as alternatives after reports of user data collection in MetaMask.
