“During the inventory, the organisation’s new chief executive discovered a clandestine mining farm in a small switch cabinet. The key was held only by the watchman,” the district administration explained.
To assess the damage, the incubator management will measure electricity usage in April and compare it with March, when the farm was active in the switchgear.
According to preliminary data, the equipment’s owner was a young IT specialist who had previously worked for an external company that occupied space in the incubator.
Earlier ForkLog reported that among Russian regions, Dagestan leads in the number of illegal mining farms. In two months of 2021 the damage from miners’ activity amounted to 730 000 rubles.
