Over the course of a month, two emails to the medical center asked that the digital wallet be checked. Two transactions of $400,000 in Bitcoin were sent to it.

According to Lawson, the hospital decided to convert the received digital assets into US dollars immediately due to high volatility.

“Donations in cryptocurrencies are not yet popular, but they are moving in that direction. People are accumulating such assets and looking for opportunities to donate them,” said the senior vice president of Cape Cod Healthcare.
